Why we founded BROSHIELD:

The idea was born from the simple problem that it was nearly impossible to store condoms safely and discreetly while on the go, because:

  • Condoms should never be stored in a regular wallet. According to the German Association of Gynecologists (BVF), pressure and friction can damage them. This also applies to jacket or trouser pockets, where condoms are at risk of tearing or developing micro-holes—significantly reducing their protective function.

  • If a condom is damaged, it increases the risk of unintended pregnancy or the transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

  • In fact, one in three pregnancies is unplanned. That’s the result of a survey commissioned by the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA), which questioned 4,000 women aged 20 to 44. According to the BZgA, improper use of contraceptives is one of the main reasons.

We quickly realized that the special compartment in BROSHIELD could do much more. Whether for cigarettes, extra cards, or jewelry – people started using it in all kinds of ways. That’s why we spent months perfecting the design, making sure BROSHIELD stayed slim and compact while still offering room for all your personal essentials. After 12 months of intensive development, the BROSHIELD you know today was born.

Best friends since school – that’s Laurin and Hannes, the founders of BROSHIELD. They’ve been working together since 2019.
